To all our wonderful patrons. Since we started this small business we have had joy and loss. We experienced identity theft, have been cheated by unscrupulous customers, had loaned money to help another and never returned by a particular Cheyenne Silvermith when we bailed him out of his financial troubles, starting our financial issues. But through all this we managed to maintain a semblence of what it means to "do the right thing", to give to all peoples, live the native way as much as possible in todays world, from the stories my wife heard from family members. I continued with my silver work on a very small scale and produced many commissioned pieces, tried to pay any taxes that might have been due to shows attended earlier in the decade and just be a good human being overall. We have maintained some wonderful clientele over the years and thank them for their continued support and hope to offer them our services again in the future.
The economy has hurt many people our customers alike, with descritionary funds being reduced to pay the more compounding costs of life such as housing, food, school and medical needs. We understand that too.
It is with a very sad heart that we announce the temporary closing of BearBuffalo Silver Designs effective today, August 24, 2009. We will continue to hold the business license for this operation as well as, all rights to the business name and designs that have been copyrighted. From time to time you may see some new pieces put up for sale online but for now we have either sold what we have or have been forced to scrap much to provide financial assistance for our family.
We hope that you will watch for our return sometime perhaps late 2011 or if possible before.
